Prayer: "A personal request or confession or expression of praise or thanksgiving to God"


Blessing: " The invocation of God's favour"


There are times when I fully connect with the moment: When life force flows through me clearly and a prayer or blessing forms as spontaneous movement, song, or words uttered from the very core of me, as if flowing from the universe out through me and into nature all around me, in response to and in appreciation of the perfect moment of life.


Rarely remembered, these moments are the truest form of prayer or blessing. The original form of prayer concerns expressing genuinely this divine connection which we all have, and at times become lucidly aware of. The words or sounds we make are created for their resonance as a pure and heartfelt expression of the divine, present in all things.


Yesterday's Prayer


"I breathe the sweet summer air,

it clarifies my vision.

I feel the sun's warmth upon my skin,

it opens my heart and soothes.

I drink of the river's nourishing water,

it teaches me how to flow.

I walk upon the bare earth,

and remember what i know."

Today's Prayer


"If i choose this path, i decide today,

i choose devotion,

to no longer allow myself entanglement

in the webs of human entrophy,

nor to devote my energies to the weakness of fear.

Today i choose the path of harmony,

to daily connect with the earth,

to become aware of my own aura;

the life force pulsating through me

and through all things;

the spirit of intention directing us all.

Blessed be this gift.

Blessed be the trees."
